This wireless handheld display module is designed to show readings from a connected T24 load cell acquisition unit on a clear 8-character LCD screen. When the operator activates the handheld device, the linked acquisition unit can switch its power state automatically, helping streamline setup and conserve energy during field use. Visual alerts on the display help users identify issues such as weak input signals, battery level concerns, measurement limits being exceeded, or other system notifications.
Users can alternate the measurement view between the main applied force and a user-set reference value, allowing quick adjustments during testing or calibration. The unit communicates using a 2.4GHz spread-spectrum radio system that supports dependable wireless performance, even in environments where multiple wireless networks, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth® and Zigbee®, are active. This makes it a practical component within modern load cell telemetry systems, especially in facilities requiring stable, interference-resistant communication.
Power is supplied by two readily available AA alkaline cells, making replacements simple in both workshop and on-site environments. Configuration of the handheld device is handled through the free T24 Toolkit software, accessed via a computer linked to a T24 base station, allowing operators to tailor settings to the needs of their measurement task.
The module meets key compliance standards, including EMC Directive 2004/108/EC and the R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC, and is fully RoHS compliant.
