As part of Novatech’s continued collaboration with the NASA Ames Research Centre, we have a pair of prototype, low profile, loadcells for measuring strap anchor point loadings during ground testing of the LOFTID device. Calibrated in tension at 5 increments up to a total of 5500lbf using a free-issued Zylon strap, these will now be sent out to NASA for their system testing and proof of concept, before then moving to a full flight test version capable of withstanding high vibration, g-shock and extremes of temperature.
